Join the mass migration from Lightfield to the AI‑native revenue platform.
Monaco replaced all our GTM tools and does the work for us. Lightfield made me bolt on point solutions to build my TAM and run outreach. I still did the work myself.
Lightfield is still just a CRM with a Kanban. You move records around. It has a little chat feature.
My big concern with Lightfield is it’s a slightly better version of HubSpot, not a go-to-market engine.
[With Lightfield] I reported bugs and the bugs didn’t get fixed. None of my feedback was ever addressed.
A new name doesn’t make you AI‑native. Monaco was built for AI from the ground up.
Lightfield was founded in 2020 as Tome. Six years and a rebrand later, they’re pitching “customer memory” - capture emails, calls, and meetings so your CRM updates itself. Useful. But retrofitting AI onto a pre-AI company isn’t the same as building for AI from day one.
Monaco was built around the hardest problem companies actually face: finding new customers. TAM discovery, enrichment, outbound execution, pipeline generation - not bolted on, but the core product from day one.
One customer put it better than we could: Monaco is a superset of Lightfield. The self-updating CRM, the call capture, the meeting summaries - all of it is already in Monaco. Switching gives up nothing, and adds the thing Lightfield doesn’t do: finding your next customer.
What matters for companies trying to grow revenue
| What matters | Monaco | Lightfield |
|---|---|---|
| Core product | AI-native revenue platform | Legacy CRM with some “AI” |
| Primary purpose | Accelerate revenue growth | Store customer information |
| TAM discovery | Yes - core to the platform | Limited - not core |
| Multi-channel outbound | Yes - core, built over years | Newly launched |
| Forward-deployed expertise | Proven GTM methodology, codified in your account. ICP, signals, sequences, scoring - built in from day one and yours to keep. Not a 90-day handoff. | Optional 90-day managed prospecting program. Humans step back after 90 days. |
| What AI surfaces to you | The insights and actions that move revenue. Prospect responds - draft reply trained on your email style, ready for review. Meeting ends - follow-up notes built from your full account history. Opp goes cold - nudge before it slips. The AI watches your pipeline. | CRM updates and follow-up drafts. Strong at capturing what happened. Less focused on what to do next. |
| Rules of engagement | Policy-driven Channel quotas + rate limits enforced automatically. Response on any channel stops all sequences. Handoff policies when an account becomes an active opp. All configurable, all automatic. | Not established Outbound is new. Depth of channel orchestration and policy enforcement is unproven. |
| Built for scaling teams | Yes - designed for it Demand gen infrastructure that handles volume without burning channels. Opinionated system of record that stays clean as the team grows. Rules of engagement enforced as policy - not left to individual reps. Account ownership that’s explicit, tracked, and handed off cleanly when deals go active. These aren’t features bolted on - they’re how Monaco is architected. | No A vanilla schema-less CRM has no clue about channel quotas, outbound policies, account ownership, or what happens when three reps are working the same account. These problems don’t exist until you’re scaling - and by then it’s too late to retrofit them. |
| Account scoring | Yes - modeled on closed-won | CRM-data dependent |
| Enrichment + verification | Yes | Via partners / not core |
| Who owns the motion | You - everything lives in your account | Service-led - motion lives with their team |
| Data model | Opinionated + extensible - designed for agents, not humans. AI auto-creates accounts, classifies conversations, fills custom fields, moves stages. Strong structure makes AI reasoning reliable. Custom fields let you extend the model for your exact business process - bespoke stages, industry signals, any GTM requirement. Structure where it matters, flexibility where you need it. | Schema-less - no enforced structure. Flexible at small scale. At scale, inconsistent data is what AI can’t reliably reason over. Flexibility without structure is just noise. |
| System of record | Yes - built in Calls, emails, meetings captured, summarized, and auto-synced. Monaco is a superset of Lightfield - you don’t trade CRM memory for pipeline generation. | Yes - whole product |
| API + MCP | Yes - full read/write + MCP MCP surfaces live revenue signal - who’s responding, what’s closing - not just stored records. | Yes |
| Pipeline management | Yes - with full agent supervision log | Yes |
| Meeting recording + summaries | Yes | Yes |
| Origin | Built as a revenue platform from day one | Founded in 2020 as Tome (presentations). Rebranded in 2024. 6 years old, pre-AI roots. A new name doesn’t make you AI-native. |
| Best fit | Companies that need to generate pipeline and close revenue | Teams that want an AI memory layer for their CRM |
