D-700 Enhanced Radio Security Alarm System

Features

  • Program-controlled receiving, recording, and display system
  • Communication security complies with DCID 1/21 Annex B (Class II) and UL 1076 Class AA
  • Provides alarm reporting and access/secure control via encoded radio frequency signals
  • Monitors system with continuous interrogations and two-way message acknowledgment; provides immediate alert of any communication loss with a remote unit
  • Allows remote units to report alarms even if central interrogation is not received
  • Provides notification of intrusion and tamper alarms, access denied alarms, access/secure requests and zone state changes
  • Provides for duplicate system or redundant RF modem operation
  • Ability to monitor 9,999 zones connected up to 1,368 transceivers
  • Each zone can be programmed to operate as Automatic, Automatic NT, Access/Secure, Access/Secure NT, Central Initiate, Central Initiate NT, Entry/Exit Delay, Entry/Exit Delay NT, Constant Secure, or Constant Secure NT. Zones programmed as NT (No Tamper) cause a Security Alarm, rather than a Tamper Alarm
  • First responders HazMat database with complete response instructions
  • Database can be backed up and compressed to fit onto one floppy disk
  • System data is password-protected
  • Color-coded displays include:
    • Current status of all security zones: secure, alarm, access, or disabled
    • Response resource status, daily notes, and call directory
    • Alarm card for each zone providing location information and response instructions
    • User-assigned pending alarm display priority
    • Emergency alarm cards for non-zone response instructions
  • Automatically maintains up to 30,000 events of zone history, transceiver, and response resource activity
  • Provides current system status reports
  • Available with 20-minute, 4-hour, 24-hour, 48-hour, or 72-hour emergency standby power supplies
  • Wide variety of options available
  • FM Approved for NFPA 72 and 1221 configurations
  • Narrowband radio, which is FCC certified for narrowband operation and meets the requirements of the NTIA (National Telecommunications and Information Administration) Manual of Regulations and Procedures for Federal Frequency Management

Description

Monaco's D-700 Enhanced Radio Security Alarm System provides all the functions of an intrusion detection monitoring/access control system plus computer-aided response. Alarms and zone state changes are transmitted from the protected buildings, and access/secure control commands are transmitted to the protected buildings using radio frequencies. This eliminates the need for acquiring, installing, and maintaining land lines.

BT2-8S Security Interface Transceivers are installed at the protected buildings. Each BT2-8S can monitor and report up to 32 zones using one antenna system. Zone inputs may be connected to access/secure key switches, keypads, and security control panels and/or sensors.

Each zone may be programmed to operate in the security mode that is suitable for the protected area. Transmission security between the D-700 and each BT2-8S is through an encoded interrogation and reply scheme. The communication protocol uses extensive error checking to ensure the validity of system messages. All zone operating parameters must be downloaded from the D-700 to the BT2-8S, and the BT2-8S status must match what is stored in the D-700. This type of communication security is resistant to compromise using signal or equipment substitution techniques. In addition to system integrity alarms, such as is Communication Loss and Invalid Configuration, the D-700 provides alerts for:

  • Security alarms
  • Tamper alarms
  • Access or Secure denied alarms
  • Transceiver enclosure tamper

Depending on the security mode, the D-700 also alerts the operator when these status changes are received:

  • Access or Secure state change
  • Access or Secure request

The alert window automatically appears on the screen identifying the message received and its location. An audible alert sounds, pulsing at different rates for alarms and status changes.

The D-700 operator can acknowledge the alarms or log them as tests, and accept or deny access or secure requests. The operator can also send access and secure commands and use the Security ZID Status Report to check the status of all zones. If the operator acknowledges an alarm, the alarm card for that zone automatically displays, providing three screens of information critical to alarm response. Each screen shows zone location information: building number, facility name, zone description, address, and cross street.

The individual screens show:

  • Response instructions, notification, hazards/precautions
  • Additional response instructions, facility occupancy information
  • Alarm equipment, special information, zone configuration/status

All of this information is entered by the user so it can be tailored for the specific application. The user also selects the operating mode for each zone: Access/Secure, Access/Secure NT, Entry/Exit Delay, Entry/Exit Delay NT, Central Initiate, Central Initiate NT, Constant Secure, or Constant Secure NT. The NT (No Tamper) zone types allow conditions that normally cause a Tamper Alarm to cause a Security Alarm.

The D-700 automatically generates a number of reports that provides valuable information for system management:

  • Current status of all security zones
  • Histories of zone, transceiver, non-zone emergency and response resource activity for a 12-month period
  • Current zone alarms
  • Current transceiver status
  • Status of each transceiver and its attached zones; this can be updated by a manual poll at any time

The D-700 may also interface to Monaco BT2/M-2 Fire Alarm Transceivers on the same communication channel.
