Motorsports Profile
Monaco Enterprises, Inc. has been involved in circle track racing for over twenty years, from sponsoring local talent in the early 1980s Northwest Super Stocks, to the ASA West Circuit, and on to the NASCAR Northwest and Southwest Tours. In 1993, the Monaco 1993 Chevrolet Lumina won the Northwest Tour Championship under the direction of Crew Chief Kevin Richards with Kirk Rogers behind the wheel.
At the end of the 1994 season, the team reorganized and spent the 1995 & 1996 seasons building and participating in a few Late Model and Northwest and Southwest Tour races. Kevin Richards assumed the driving responsibilities finishing in the top ten in the majority of the races entered. This was his first time in a Tour-Type car... and the first time back in the drivers seat in nine years.
In 1998, Kevin finished second in Winston West Rookie of the Year points, with the Monaco Enterprises 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, finishing the season in fifth place.
The Motorsports Division of Monaco Enterprises was officially formed in 1996, with the dual goal of merchandising products and services manufactured for the racing industry by Monaco, and establishing a winning race car team.
Products manufactured by Monaco Enterprises include Work Center Pit Carts and Valve Spring Compressor Tools for on-engine valve spring changes.
Monaco Enterprises Motorsports is a dealer for Penske Racing Shocks, Oetiker, Amsoil, and Maropulos Racing Engines.
