D-700R and D-700R2 RF Repeater
The D-700R provides a narrowband radio link from a D-700 central monitoring system to remote BT2s/M-2s. In a MultiCentral D-700 System, a D-700R can also be used to transfer messages between D-700 locations if they are beyond radio range or if there is an obstacle which blocks the RF path. The same D-700R can be programmed to also repeat transmissions between a D-700 and BT2s/M-2s.
A sophisticated radio air time sharing technique allows more than one D-700 and/or D-700R to interrogate specific groups of BT2s/M-2s. They can also receive and pass on alarms and status changes for specific groups of BT2s/M-2s. This is all done using one radio frequency.
The D-700R automatically interrogates the BT2s that are assigned to it, using the same mode as the central D-700: continuous, continuous/timed or timed. In addition to reporting alarms and status changes to the D-700, it will also report if a BT2/M-2 does not reply to an interrogation.
- Continuously monitors for and relays D-700 System messages
- D-700R2 provides a second repeater for redundant operation. Only one is active at a time; the second one takes over if the first one fails to operate properly. This ensures all messages are transmitted
- Uses a time-sharing technique to interrogate its BT2s on the same radio frequency as the central D-700
- Communications between the D-700R and BT2s/M-2s are supervised
- LEDs identify power status, active/standby mode, microprocessor fault, carrier detection, transmit and receive
- Includes power supply/battery charger and backup batteries for 60 hours of operation in the event of an ac power failure
- Reports ac power failure and battery faults identified with the D-700R/D-700R2 number to the D-700
- Up to 14 Repeaters may be used in a D-700 Enhanced Central Receiving System
- Provides serial input for programming and radio testing
- 4 watts RF output power (Selected frequencies available with 2 watts RF output power)
