Description

Monaco's Door Control System prevents unauthorized entry into a secure area. Access to a secure area can only be gained by entering a four-digit code into the keypad in the correct sequence within a preset time period (when only a keypad is used for access), by sliding an authorized card into the card reader (when only a card reader is used for access), or by sliding an authorized card into the card reader and then entering a four-digit code into the keypad (when a card reader/keypad combination is used for access).

The keypad allows entry of ten digits for programming, and a signal input and status indicator for secure and access conditions. The housing is tamper proof and weatherproof.

Over 10,000 combinations are user programmable with combination changes requiring only a few seconds to complete. The number of entry errors allowed can also be programmed by the user. Any attempt to remove the keypad from the mounting plate is detected by a tamper magnet/reed switch alarm circuit.

Codes/Cards The Door Control System allows up to 500 valid user codes/cards. Codes may be programmed from the Door Controller and may be from one to six digits in length; digits may be repeated. Cards must be programmed using the card reader. The Master Code is always user one and must be code-only, not a card.

Audit Trail An accurate audit trail can be provided by the Door Controller, which has a 500 transaction buffer that stores these transactions to be printed at a later date to either the printer, PC, or via the Infrared output to a hand-held wireless printer. The information is printed in a last in first out format. Once the buffer is full, the oldest transaction is lost.

Forced Door Relay This is a 1A Form-C relay that energizes if the door is opened without a valid user entry or egress input. This output can be programmed to energize for up to 15 minutes or latch. It can be reset by a valid entry.

Propped Door Relay Programming a 1 to 15 minute open door time allows the Door Controller to alert personnel of a propped door by energizing a 1A Form-C relay. This relay de-energizes upon closure of the door.

Auto Unlock/Lock Time Zone The Door Controller includes a pre-programmed auto unlock/lock time zone. This time zone is programmed as 9:00 am through 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Alarm Zone Shunt Relay This is a 1A, Form-C relay that is energized simultaneously with the lock release relay providing an easy means of shunting existing door contacts. The relay continues shunting until the Door Controller recognizes the door closure.

Lock Release Relay This is a 5 A Form-C relay that can be toggled by the user or timed from one to 90 seconds.

Programming All programming is accomplished entirely from keypad on the Door Controller. LEDs make programming easy and changing codes and cards only takes seconds for an authorized user. Programming mode lasts for four minutes after the last keypress.

Door Position Sensor Input By adding a normally closed magnetic door switch, the Door Control monitors the position of the door and immediately relocks it after valid access has been gained, preventing unwanted tailgate entries.

Timed Egress Input Upon a momentary closure, this normally open loop triggers the main relay for the same time period as the Master Code.

Keypress Feedback/Audible Keypress When a key is pressed, the yellow LED lights or sounds the sounder. This can be turned off via programming.

Access/Secure Switch

Features

  • Key control for access to secure areas

  • Tamper protected

  • Two keys provided with each Access/Secure switch

  • Round key lock switch

Description

Monaco's Access/Secure switch provides a convenient, yet safeguarded means of zone entry. It provides 24-hour protection on certain sections of each zone (such as window foil, tamper, or heat-detection circuits) while permitting access by authorized personnel by deactivating detection devices such as ultrasonic alarms, photo cells, microwave units, passive infrared detectors, and balanced magnetic switches. Each switch contains the necessary circuitry to change the protected circuit from secure to access condition; a tamper switch registers an alarm in both secure and access positions if the cover is removed from the unit. An alarm also registers when the unit is switched from either secure to access or access to secure.
