Description

The AIM-1SL uses the latest technology to provide the ultimate reader interface. The local database stores up to 20,000 cardholder records, providing complete access control capabilities even if the interface is off-line. Storage of up to 7,000 events when off-line insures that historical records of off-line activity will be maintained. The RS-485 interface circuitry of the AIM-1SL is located on a separate, small, field replaceable, module providing repair of the communications circuitry without removing the entire interface.

The AIM-1SL has terminations for connection of one or two Wiegand interface readers complete with 3 LED lines (Red, Yellow, Green) and a buzzer control line. The interface may be configured to use entry/exit readers for anti-passback configurations or to use a single reader with a push-button input for exit (REX). Each reader may also be equipped with a keypad for use in a high security Card plus PIN mode or the user friendly Card or PIN mode (entry allowed without using a badge).

The AIM-1SL has a built-in 2 A strike relay for direct control of the door locking device. It also provides an output for connection of up to four ADA-11, external, high security, relay modules. The relays may be added as required. The functions provided are high security strike output, local alarm annunciation, and 2 general purpose programmable Aux outputs. The installer has the choice of using the onboard strike relay or adding the external ADA-11 relay for increased security. The AIM-1SL also has terminations for the door contact input, exit push button, and one or two auxiliary (general purpose) alarm inputs. These inputs are all Grade "A" supervised for increased security. The supervision may be disabled when not required via a dip-switch. The AIM-1SL supports all major reader technologies including magnetic stripe, proximity, fingerprint, hand geometry, barcode, long range infrared, and others. Many of these reader types are available with integral keypads.

The AIM-1SL works with the ADA-11 door strike/relay module to prevent door entry though tampering with wires. The door will not open until the AIM 1SL directs it to.

Description

The AIM-4 provides a complete 4-door reader interface for access control. It interfaces to 4 card readers, 4 keypads, or 4 card readers with keypad. In addition, it monitors door position, exit push button, auxiliary alarm input, and Wiegand input (Data 0, Data 1) from each door reader. It controls all 4 electric strikes and provides 4 auxiliary outputs. This totals 12 inputs and 8 outputs. The following card reader technologies are supported by the AIM-4: magnetic stripe (swipe or insert), Wiegand, proximity cards, proximity vehicle tags, biometric devices, bar code, infrared and long range infrared.

Each AIM-4 provides a unique device address and can be multi-dropped with other AIM-4s on the 2-wire or 4 wire RS-485 communications line. The AIM-4 operates from regulated +12 to 24 Vdc or 18 Vac. Quick disconnect connectors provide easy installation and support. The AIM-4 supports locked/unlocked or facility code access modes in case communications with the BT-X is interrupted.

The AIM-4 fits within a power supply/UPS enclosure that provides 12 V 8 A/ 5 V 1 A regulated uninterruptible power supply, a battery charger, and a 12V/12 Ah battery. The output voltage distributor provides 8 outputs - each with a power on LED and solid state circuit breaker in a 16 inch x 16 inch x 5 inch enclosure.

The AIM-4 works with the ADA-11 door strike/relay module to prevent door entry though tampering with wires. The door will not open until the AIM 4 directs it to.
